This Friday & Saturday, 5/20-21, is the inaugural Southern Delaware Arts Festival at Sussex Central High School! Our first year is a little smaller than what we hope it to become in the next few years but there is plenty to come see and do! Friday from 6-8 pm walk through our student’s art show and enjoy the Thespian’s Comedy Show. Then proceed to the Theater to enjoy our Spring Choral Concert with guests from the Southern Delaware Chorale at 7! We will pick up on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. with Dance performances from our students as well as from local studios, theater productions with scenes written by our students, poetry readings, live figure drawings, jazz combos and more! The Spring Concert Band performance will start with the Upper Chesapeake Community Band at 1 p.m. with our performance to follow as well as a few combined pieces with both bands! I hope you will consider coming out to see all of the wonderful things our visual and performing arts students do and the best thing about it… IT’S FREE!!
