Willow Lake Community,
Riding by the front entrance there are two PVC pipes coming from the ground coupled together by a brass value. One end of the PVC pipe connects to our water system. Our supplier of water, Tidewater, brought a pipe to a box where Cashwell Plumbing installed a check value. This is the brass value visible about 24 inches above the ground. After Tidewater Utilities inspects the hook up of the check value Cashwell Plumbing will test their work to be sure the value is operational. Cashwell’s test follows Tidewater because at the moment Tidewater has not allowed the flow of water until after their inspection. The check value is necessary due to a State of Delaware regulation. The check value does not permit any water to back flow into the supply of water to our homes.
Following the inspection and test, Collins Landscaping will install a drip line irrigation system to provide water to our current plantings and the six new trees planted by Sussex Tree Industries.
Please Help
We are hoping during the installation of the drip line irrigation many weeds will disappear due to the trench work. What weeds remain I am asking, on behalf of the Common Ground Committee and the Board for volunteers to provide many hands so that the weeding takes a minimal amount of time. There is a rhythm to my musings.
Finally, Nick Ables will commence his Eagle Scout project with the help of many Boy Scouts. Please see the associated post. By the way, Nick’s brother Zach, an Eagle Scout earned by his work around our two-mile trail, just graduated from Clemson University.
Enough of me on this Sunday afternoon. Here is hope that we get rain-soon.
