We held a combined Board Meeting with the Lake and Common Area Committees:
In attendance: Bob Grasso, Robert Lamontagne, Steve Kempe, Ray Hopkins, Luke Nyman and Robyn Kirby.
Common Area
- The Common Area Committee reported their recommendations for the front of our community, which included a water line tap be installed. All were in agreement regarding the tap and we are moving forward with this project. Drip irrigation was also discussed.
- Robyn and Ray submitted the required information to Tidewater. Luke will write the check. (Final paperwork is in progress).
- The Delaware Urban and Community Forestry Council and Delaware Forest Service have approved our 2023 U&CF Tree Planting Proposal. Our community has been awarded funding up to $1,890 for the grant project.
Water Testing
- The Lake Committee reported on testing the water in Willow Lake.
- We agreed to contact a Harrington, Delaware water testing lab. The State of Delaware does not test private waters. Robert Lamontagne and Bob Grasso researched labs and found Harrington willing to test our water.
- It was unanimous that we test the lake water.
- Robyn Kirby, Board Secretary, went to Harrington and received four Vials for water collection. Ray will collect the water samples, Robyn will return the vials to the lab, and the Board will report the findings to the community.
