My name is Nicholas Ables and for part of my Boy Scout Eagle Scout Project I will be clearing the
old, dumped trash from the south entrance of the pond to the bridge over the pond outlet into Sheep Pen Ditch. There are old appliances, tires, and much more. The second half will be installing Life Rings near each entrance of the pond. Hopefully they will never have to be used but will be there in case!
Thursday, June 22, I had scouts from my troop assisting me in starting to clean out the area and assessing what and how much more will be needed. There was a dump-trailer parked in the first turn-around from Wednesday evening to Friday morning for the first part.
Please Help
I am planning the biggest workday for Saturday, July 8th if any of our community members would like to volunteer and help with the clean-up efforts. There will be more information soon about times and work details.
